After the game, she gave me her injury report: stubbed toe, kicked in the leg under her shin guard, smacked in the face by the ball, elbowed in the neck, nausea from a hard hit, and pushed to the ground, getting grass burns on her shoulder and her hip. Who said soccer is for sissies?

Soccer Hurts!
It's our first Soccer Saturday in two weeks, and it's hard to get back in the swing of things so near the end of the season. Kelly didn't play because she is still recovering from being sick for the past week, but Erin played today. Her usual position is midfielder which she enjoys because she gets to cover the whole field--it's hard for her to just watch the ball without going for it. Today she played as a forward the whole game and did a great job. She even scored the first goal of the game, which her team won. Their record is now 2-2-3; it's not stellar, but it's enough to put them in 3rd place in the division.

These two girls shadowed her for the first half of the game.
I love this shot!
